3.2 What is language awareness

Language awareness is about noticing the language around us. As the mankind revolves around language, as a teacher you need to teach the students how to notice the language around them. Many people incorrectly blame the parents for not educating the students to be proper, but they wouldn’t glance at the underlying reasons a student may have rude. The student might not even have parents, are uneducated, or the student has the burden of carrying a weight that is quite heavy while the parent(s) are sick. It is up to you as a teacher to teach these students to be aware of what languages register they need to use. The problem however is that you need the approach the students with a different register as well, as one would drive you away, since you are an authority figure. Showing the use of language awareness will help the student to act more social around his or her loved ones, while creating new bonds with other people.

Expending your registers will help you increase your vocab, which will in term increase your interests, as you would understand things more easily. It will give you a bigger chance of getting a diploma and aspire greater things. However, the most important factor is, in my opinion, to be able to interact with one another.
